The breakdown sheet, filled in from the screenplay.
A breakdown sheet describes one scene: where it is shot, day or night, and everything that has to be there on the day — cast, extras, costumes, props, vehicles, effects. There is one per scene, and together they are what lets you budget and schedule the film. Soldum reads the screenplay and pre-fills every sheet; you review and approve it.

What a breakdown sheet contains
The header places the scene; the categories list what it needs. An empty category matters as much as a full one: it says there is nothing to plan, not that nobody looked. In Soldum, every scene arrives with its sheet pre-filled and a status — To do, In progress, Approved.

From breakdown sheets to budget and schedule
Added up, the sheets give production the totals it needs: how many distinct sets, how many days for each role, how many extras. An approved sheet enters the shooting schedule, its needs become budget lines, its sets go out for logistics research.

What is a breakdown sheet?

The record of one scene of the screenplay: its header (number, interior or exterior, day or night, set) and, category by category, everything needed to shoot it. A film's breakdown is the set of all its sheets.
How is it different from the shooting schedule?

The sheet says what a scene needs; the schedule says which day it is shot. The schedule is built from the sheets, by grouping scenes that share a set or cast.
Are the categories the same for commercials?

Mostly. A commercial's breakdown sheet adds the product and its packshot, and the unit department. Soldum shows the categories that match the type of project.
What happens to my corrections when the script changes?

They are kept: upload the new version and Soldum updates the sheets without overwriting what you corrected.
Does my screenplay stay confidential?
